Hi John,
  My '75 MGB had a fuel line about a foot long that connected the pump to
the fuel tank.  If yours is similarly fitted, any of the in-line filters
would fit in there. It seems a good idea to me, especially if you use a
filter with glass or plastic exterior so you can see the crud
accumulating.  I think I will put my '72 in the air today and see if
there is space for a filter.
