Hi everyone:

I started work again for my local BritCar shop (this is my second summer)
and I got stuck with inventory work and computer junk. I was talking to my
fellow co-workers (of 12 only 4 actually own an MG, the other 8 are
american iron lovers) and we got on the subject of aluminum crossflow
heads...are thinking being that the TR7 had an aluminum head an cast iron
block. The TR7s head often cracked and welded itself to the block as a
result of the iron heating up faster (or vice versa)...would this hold true
with a new crossflow head? I don't want to spend $1200 just to find out in
3 years that my head is cracked and that it is welded to the block. Any
comments?

Secondly, I had a great brainstorm for my website; but I want to know how
useful it would be, before I commit my life to doing it. I would like to
take every British Car Part # in the world (Lucas, BL, BMC, Vera, Moss,
etc.) and organize them into ONE cross-searchable index. This would
include Lucas lens #s (eg. L542, as well as 54571563 numbers). I hope to
make the index in a way that if you search for a Lucas number you will also
receive the original BL or BMC number as well as the new product number
that Moss uses. I have access to every possible parts book ever made for a
british auto mobile or parts company...and yesterday I found an original
Lucas Training Manual. What do you think, and would you use it?

Thanks,

KMR
