It would be interesting to know what others think of the range of MG
magazines on offer, and also to exchange details of magazine contact
details. For instance, you may like to know that there is a new magazine
coming, called MG World, which will be launched in the UK this autumn
(fall). It will be a high-quality bi-monthly magazine and is to be
published by the people who gave us Tr*um*h World. The editor is on-line
and can be e-mailed at:

mgworld@chp.ltd.uk.

At present, in the UK, we have three other titles aimed specifically at
MG enthusiasts. These are `Enjoying MG' (free to members of the MG
Owners' Club, established 1973), `Safety Fast!' (free to members of the
MG Car Club, established 1930) and `MG Enthusiast' (established 1983,
and incorporating the old `Abingdon Classics' magazine that was
published in the 'States about ten years ago). The MG Car Club is
on-line at:

carclub@mgcars.org.uk

and the MG Owners' Club is at:

mginfo@mgownersclub.co.uk

In addition, other clubs publish their own magazines, but the three
above are the main ones. Enjoying MG is a big-budget glossy with full
colour, and is well worth getting hold of. Although the MGOC is mainly
focussed on Midgets & MGB's, other MG enthusiasts will always find
something of interest. Safety Fast has always been a packed read for all
MG nuts, and it has recently undergone a facelift which has brought it
up to date in terms of style.

Both EMG & SF usually have a good mix of historical and technical
articles, and recently there have been articles in SF by or about people
who worked at the factory. MG Enthusiast has also had a slight facelift.
Available by subscription or on (UK!) newsagents it covers all ages of
MG, but has less in the way of technical stuff than the club magazines.

In the US, I am aware of the MGB Driver - an excellent small-format
magazine put out by NAMGBR - and MG Magazine, which sprang out of an
official BL North America backed publication first launched in 1979.
Then there is the `Sacred Octagon', put out by the New England MG
T-Register.

I would be pleased to know of any others that are worthwhile getting
hold of.
