That is correct - the car still had a Pennsylvania paper licence tag in
the rear window when he came to Salado, Texas.  Don't remember if it had
a dealer/seller name on it or not, and Dick didn't say who the seller
was.  Any chance that tag might still be in his garage somewhere?
