Some folks have recommended toothpaste, and I have advocated the use of 
polishing 
compund.  If you get the finest-grained stuff they have it should do the trick 
without making the window much more hazy than you'd expexct a convertible 
window to 
be.  I used this to remove some brown fungi that were living on the windows of 
a car 
that sat under pine trees in Florida for five years, and it worked like a charm.
