One suggestion I would make whether you carry a spare or not. On a
long trip take along an extra inner tube. You may damage one beyond repair
and these tubes are not easy to find. In a major city I was only able to
find two places that carry them. NAPA was one of them. If you ever repair
the tires yourself keep in mind that it is possible to put the tube in
backwards! If this happens the stem will keep falling inside the tire
every time you try to inflate it.
