OK, fair enough. But I'm certain that I've read that some Austins have the
same drive train as a C. Anyone know which Austin's these are?

BTW, after a bit of looking, the C has a type 35 BW auto transmission.

A couple of Cs in my garage wondering if they really have any half blood
siblings out there.

Nope, Dr. Doug.
The America used basically the same running gear/engine as the Mini.
Ie. transverse mounted "A" series engine. I believe the Auto tranny was
unique to the America and it's badge engineered siblings.
