David,

As you described tehm, they sound just like the ones used on my
Roadster to attach the straps from the convertible top 'boot' or
the tonneau when it is folded down behind the seats for driving.

- could it be for standardization they use the same parts/construction
for the BGT?

OK Question.

I was removing my batteries for the winter and I discovered a couple of
"snaps" that have me puzzled.

I have a '73 BGT and two snaps were located under the seat in front of
the battery boxes and just into the end of the carpet as it folded onto
the top of the battery area. The other two were located about two
inches above the openings to check and fill the rear shocks. They are
all the male end of the snap.

Does any one know why these are here? Is there a cover to "snap on" to
replace the back seat?

Thanks in advance.
