Evangelos - I see from your email address that you are in Greece - there
cant be a lot of MGs there to choose from! - I saw an early B roadster in
Athens last year and none of my Greek friends even knew what it was! you
are lucky to find two to compare-
If possible try and obtain a copy of "MGB guide to purchase and
restoration" by Lindsay Porter - its an excellent book, not just for a
buying checklist but also for all the little jobs you will have to do if
you buy one!!
Later you will also need a Haynes or Bentley manual but for the purchase,
Porter is the best.
I doubt you can just go into a bookshop in Greece and buy iyt but you can
order it from amazon.com - i know they will do export orders, otherwise
there may be somewhere in the UK that can get one to you before your
inspections (any ideas you Blighty listers?)
Porter tends to be very critical however - take his comments with a pinch
of salt, he wants you to find the perfect car and after all these years
there are not too many that are perfect!
The biggest single problem to look at is RUST - if the cars have always
been in Greece i dont imagine it will be a huge problem but bodywork is
the hardest to fix and the most expensive.
If you are not mechanically inclined, take the cars to a mechanic to
check the engine/drivetrain and front and rear ends - Porters book will
tell you what to look for but if you can get an expert opinion as well it
cant hurt!

I cant comment on the prices, from what friends have told me cars in
general are very expensive in Greece Good luck - and let us know what you
find
