Bill,
   Right you are.  I said the same about clogged breathers
causing these leaks in a private post to the original
question.  After all, they haven't invented the ring yet
that will eliminate leak-by of combustion gases, despite
what some manufacturers say.  Needless to say, excessive
pressure in the sump will cause oil leaks, its just a
question of if it's controlable with vents or PVC systems,
or if its bad enough to go into the engine and control it
at its source.
