just wire a bulb (12V idiot light of your preference (or LED))
across the solinoid to ground. You can't  tap into the wire
at the junction near the fuse box like some say. This only puts you on the
Stalk Switch side of things not on the Tranny solinoid side of the O/D gear
box limit switch. Her is the only place tyyou can tap it an know the light
is on only when all the switches are closed and the 12V is getting to the
solinoid.
