No! don't paint the inside.

The oil will take the paint off especially once it gets hot. paint would
classify as a foreign material inside the crank...don't want to plug any
filters or anything else for that matter. :o)

Subject: sump question

Hi all,
For a 1971 MGBGT, I believe the sump/oil pan was painted black. Is
this correct? Also, if one was going to sandblast and repaint it, would it
also be painted on the inside? Thanks in advance, Nina
