Paul, I did the tube shock conversion on my 75 wire wheel B last
month. Used "Car Quest" #47546 shocks (counter guy told me they were
Monroes). They cost about $30 for the pair. I purchased grade 8 nuts &
bolts from a local shop and the total cost of the conversion was about
$42. I measured from my concrete garage floor to the bottom of the
chrome door guard strip @ 27 5/8" both sides ( didn't think my floor was
that level)
and from the center of the wheel nut to the bottom of the chrome strip @
16" both sides.
