Ya don't have to go too far to find higher prices; here in Montreal, it's
62.9 cents per liter, or US$1.58 per U.S. gallon. Europeans have been
getting shafted for decades, not just years, as a matter of course. Witness
the prices charged for British cars in Britain vs. the price in Europe for
the same car; about 40% lower off the Island, even when brought back duty
paid. The oil cartel and its' related, wholly owned subsidiaries such as
Ford, GM, Volvo, the U.S.A., etc., have been using the elevator while we,
the consumer, poor or otherwise, get the shaft.
Let's all remember April 30th - it's about the only action we CAN take that
will make them notice and which will benefit us all. In fact, let's do it
once a month on the last day of each month.
