   When I said I hadn't seen one that performed as advertised, I meant
exactly that, no more, no less.  I have seen several of the things that
were supposed to "ratchet."  One had to take off the weight in order for
the mechanism to work.  That's what I wrote and it seems accurate to
me.  

  I have a feeling that you saw my post as a knock on one of the
products you're pushing.  Not so.   Next time, perhaps you should take
TWO deep breaths.


   To all others who replied to the quoted post: 

   Thanks for all the replies.  I'm glad to hear that there are better
quality "equalizers" that the ones I have seen in the past.  Perhaps
excluding the one on which the knob broke on the first attempt at using
it??  

   Information is what this list is about, right?  I learned something
from this thread, hope others did too.
