Well..... here we go!
Bought the B in Feb...worked on her a little to get her road ready,
replacing the sparks, rubber hoses, flushed her radiator (which was quite
clean).
Got her some new brakes, got her a new e-brake cable, got a new battery.
Then the moment of truth...tried to start her up...ok new fuel pump....next
tried her again....rrrr rrrr rrrr rrrr rrrr....then the smell of
gas....looked under her bonny..and saw gas leaking from the carb...ok new
gaskets...ready, steady.....now she wont turn, I at least had her ready to
start before...she even sputterd a little, but she didnt have any gas
feed...so never a start. She sat for two years neglected (before we bought
her). PO told me she had an overhaul 6k ago,(ok..whatever)...folks I am no
mechanic...but she was missing some screws on her carb...and she has gasket
gunk...where gasket should be! But now she doesnt even turn, you turn the
key and she clicks..but doesnt turn!!!!
Wits end is far away..but my mechanical knowledge and my SO's tolerance for
parts and service costs are about gone. HELP....

some things I have seen.....there was gas coming from her breather, off the
charcoal filter, through the breather hose. No doubt she was flooded...but
that flooded????????...does this sound like a float problem, or should I
look for something else? when we took the carb off we drained a good five to
six ounces of gas from her.
