        I have to take you to task here.  Whatever nice looking British cars
were parked in the parking lot at Scotland Yard were probably not owned by
employees.  Or if they were, they probably did not run.
        We drove the tatty cars parked further down the row, with the dents,
faded paint, and ragged tops.

        Steve Willis, one of the owners drove an MGA with black paint so
faded that it appeared blue.  Paul Dierschow did have a beautyful 75 TR6,
but it tended to reject all engines installed it it.  

        Lets see:  Fred had the rust bucket blue MGB with orange fiberglass
fenders.  Davy had the cream B or GT or maybe he would drive his battered
Elan.  Teddy would show up in the Cortina that some lady gave him for free.
It needed a clutch master rebuild, I don't think it ever got one.  He just
kept on pouring fluid in.

        There is an old addage about mechanics and the cars they drive.
Here, it is evidenced by the salesperson who shows up to work in a beat up
unrestored TVR Grantura, or maybe a Cortina Wagon.  He is looked upon as an
odd bird, but just maybe he will shame me into getting one of my cars back
together.

        Boy, I do miss my "cow sat upon, bus shortened" 65 MGB sometimes.  I
look at the forlorn MGA tub in the driveway and wonder just how quickly I
can put it on the road.  Maybe if I don't mow the lawn this month??
