TD Distributor Question/Problem

I would like to get some opinions as to the cause and possible correction to
the following problem with a 1951 MG TD distributor.

Since reassembling the engine after having the valve guides honed I now have
oil entering the distributor.  I have replaced the lower drive gear and all
washer's are inplace.

Over a long drive, 100 plus miles, enough oil enters the distributor body as
to start fouling the ignition.

Any help or advise is greatly appreciated.
