Several of you have asked for some comparison of the 5 speed and the stock
gear ratios. Obviously I can only comment on the 5 speed units we sell. At
some point in the near future I want to have a webpage devoted to the
comparison of each unit so that you the purchasers will have one stop to look
at all of the options.
The stock gear ratios are 1st 3.64- 2nd 2.21- 3rd 1.37- 4th 1.0. (OD .82)
The 5 speed is 1st 3.65- 2nd 1.97- 3rd 1.37- 4th-1.0- 5th .82
Options 1st- 2.040 or 2.20 or 2.39
Options 2nd-1.54 or 1.69
Options 3rd- 1.21
Options 4th- 1.0
Options 5th- .87 or .93
The gearbox we use is designed in the UK and manufactured in Germany for
FOMOCO.
