I had a 1982 Volvo Turbo (240 style) that had a 4 peed plus electric overdrive engaged via a button on top of the shift knob. I always figured that it was because Volvo didn't have the money to engineer a true 5-speed trans.... Perhaps the same is true of the MG! I wish my 76 B had the o/d or ANY extra gear....! |
