Gas prices have headed for the moon!!! In Austin, TX I have been paying
$1.30 US for a gallon of gas for about 2 years. Last night I filled up and
it was $1.67. I could not belive it. The following e-mail was forwared to
me by a friend and I thought I would share it with you good folks on the MGS
list. I will be participating in the boycott. I firmly belive that you
should make your own dession about this boycott.
Please don't flame me because of this e-mail. If you don't like the topic,

There is a gas crisis starting if any of you haven't read the news or paid
attention. For all everyone who has a car this is important. Opec is
stalling on production of oil, this is causing american and international
oil companies to raise the price of gas. I don't want to pay more than a
$1.30 for a tank of regular. Its not that bad in Austin, but for here thats
still to high. I know they are up to $2 to $3.00 a gallon in some parts of
the country. Thats BS... This email campaign did work last year and it will
work even better this year. Don't buy gas on the weekend of April the 7th,
either stock up or don't go anywhere. Not hard for some of you. hehe Don't
forget! Put it in your planner if you have to, or that big ass calendar on
your desk, just be apart of something.

OH), and speculation has it the price will not be going down until theend
of summer.I will be planning on participating in the gas out mentioned

Last year on April 30,1999, a gas out was staged across Canada
and the U.S. to bring the price of gas down, and it worked.
It's time to do something about it again.
This time, lets make it for three days instead of just one. The oil
cartel decided to slow production to drive up gasoline prices. Lets
see how many Canadian\American people we can get to ban together for
a three day period in April, NOT TO BUY ANY GASOLINE, during those
three days. LETS HAVE A GAS OUT.
Do not buy any gasoline from APRIL 7, 2000, THROUGH APRIL 9, 2000.
Buy what you need before the dates listed above, or after, but try
not to buy any during the GAS OUT. If you want to help, just send this
to everyone you know and ask them to do the same.
We brought the prices down once before, and we can do it again!
Come on North America lets stand together.
