The only factory V8 MGs here in the states were imported privately.

Hmmm, good question. Maybe Paul meant "USA" and wasn't thinking of 
Canada. Clausager only shows 7 total LHD NA models produced, all in 
72-73, so there can't be very many of them around, at any rate.
