My 76B has had the pollution stuff removed by the PO. Never having
driven any other MG, I can't comment on the comparitive power. However,
my car does have a kind of 'lumpy' idle, which is why I keep the radio
antenna lowered - I'm afraid the whipping motion would hurt someone if
they walked by my car!!!
The interesting thing is that I've lived in Massachusetts, New York and
New Jersey, all states with annual emissions tests. I typically arrange
to get a 'tune up' around inspection time, and also ask the shop to have
it inspected. Somehow, it always ends up with a sticker...!
