The Moss catalog has a table of original MGB colors (excerpt follows):

[color name/description/factory code/aftermarket codes/years]

British Racing Green/medium dark green/GN 25/RM# BM079, DITZ# 43342, DUP#
8194/1964-70

British Racing Green/medium dark yellow green/GN 29/RM# BM078, DUP#
8193/1964-70

New Racing Green/very dark green/BLVC 25/RM# BM167, DITZ# 44446, DUP#
30012/1971

RM = Rinshed Mason
DITZ = Ditzler
DUP = Dupont

On tires: I was able to find Michelin 175R14 MX4 "Rain Force" all season
tires for considerably less ($70-80?). They fill out the wheel wells
better than a 165, too. Wider and lower profile tires are available, but
I don't think you would realize that much benefit, and the non-stock
appearance might detract (IMHO).

Welcome to the list!

If you're near Mountain View, CA,
it's the red one with the silver bootlid.
