Hmmm, since I put new rear springs in my B I have no problem with speed
bumps at all. It seems to treat them like small hills, going up and then
down, even when I hit them going a little quicker than I had planned.
This is with 175R14 tires, low profiles will of course hurt in this case.
Also the rear sits a little high on the new springs, with about 3-5
degrees of forward rake, so that probably helps. Stock exhaust system,
too.
Maybe you should examine whether the rear is sagging a little, and check
your shocks, and the muffler hangers to see if it can be pulled up a
little for more clearance.
