New Jersey's the same. I believe you have to pay a fee every year for the
plate though.
Another thing, if you ever have been charged with DWI or other major offense,
they will not let you have one.

5) Only that they make your car that much more recognizable if you choose
to run red lights or drive at high speed, it'll be easier to be fingered
than if you had some anonymous plate #. :)
