Hi.

Two theories on this one...

1. Unplug the alternator and put a spare male connector in the larger
socket, then clip +ve charge lead to that.  Ground the -ve charge lead and
make sure that the +ve connection cannot ground. Battery is being cherged as
though by the engine (in theory-rate depends on charger).

2. Make up a lead, in battery weight wire, to go from the starter input
terminal. Attach other end of lead to a well-insulated fitting on the
firewall or inner wing-an insulated cover of some sort would prevent
accidental short circuits. Then, you have a charge point for a croc clip and
also a place to start the car using boost cables, w/o ferreting under the
seat. The ground can be anywhere clean and hefty-e.g., block, frame. A
custom ground point (i.e. a bolt) would be a worthy refinement.
