That mostly likely means that the entire brake system needs rebuilding.  My
guess is that there isn't enough fluid in the lines to pressureize sufficiently
to activate the switch.  Check the fluid level in the master cylinder.  Also
check to see if any fluid has been leaking out from under the drums in back and
onto the back side of the wheels.

In fact, if any car has been sitting that long, a thorough reconditioning of the
brake system would be the number one project before going on the road.
