I own a 79 Midget with what is suppose to be a 1500
here is the problem, the engine stumbles and surges when driving at road
speeds. that is any speed I try to hold steady.
the engine timeing is rock steady, replaced breakerpoints
with electronic unit, and the carb was replaced with a Webber DGV, and the
fuel pump has been replaced with an electric one.
The fuel pump was replaced because every replacement mech. pump either
grinded loudly or the pump arm broke off and fell in the pan.
The ign was replaced because no replacement breaker points would fit on the
breaker plate properly.
and the carb because the straumberg leaked BADLY and would vapor lock
frequently.
HELP HELP HELP !!!
I can provide pics and any info asked for but I have NO idea what's wrong.
