  Maybe you didn't understand me, Max.  The hub design is typical, so is
the spindle  (stub axle).  Only the spacer and shims are atypical.

  Someone else alluded to the fact that neither the brake caliper or the
disk are floating types.  So if the hub isn't positively located, it
could cause brake probs.  Thus the spacer and shims.  Perhaps you've
seen that post by now.
