Wow, I'm glad (I think!) that I orignally posted this item to the list. I
have to say that I'm impressed with the research that a number of listers
(Kai and John) have done and provided. It's all very interesting and
informative, so thanks for posting it... I have to say that regardless of
the actual wording of the auction (with 'We believe' and 'we feel'
liberally spread throughout the text) I would hope anyone bidding on this
does their own due diligence. I have personally had very good luck with
items I've purchased on eBay (not cars) but also seen a number of items
that don't appear to be as advertised. I guess we'll see what happens over
the week-end... Caveat emptor!

All that said, I agree with others who have said it's cool, regardless of
pedigree!
