Remember the DocMartins shoes that were all the craze with
the kids a few years ago? The DocMartins treatment for the
leather is bee's wax. I have been using it on my TopSider
boat shoes every since my daughter quit wearing those big
raft-like sandals. The leather is perfect, waterproof and
soft -- if ugly. The downside of this stuff is that it is not a
pretty treatment. That has its value on old British cars as
a nice aged patina looks great on old sports cars.
