Not quite sure what the meaning of your 'not too surprising' is but the
front hub nuts are supposed to be torqued to between 40 and 70 ft lbs.  The
wide 'tolerance' is to allow one of the split pin holes to be lined up.  The
rears are 150 ft lbs and to the next hole.
