We just bought a 1978 MGB. (Hi Greg!)
I've had an MGA since 1970, my wife had a 1972 MGB she bought new in
1972 but sold in 1976. She's always regretted selling it, now she has
another one!
I am asking for recommendations re: repair/restoration books for the
MGB. I will likely get both the Haynes & Bentley service (shop)
manuals because I like shop manuals... What other books are useful?
This will not be a restoration as a show car but rather a 20/20
vehicle (looks good from 20 feet or at 20 mph).
Since I will be rebuilding or replacing the motor, "smog" issues
(inspections) aside, is it feasible to install the intake/exhaust
systems from an earlier model onto the 1978 engine? (Yes, I have
considered the aluminum V-8...)
