According to Neil Cairns, that is a 1798 cc MGB head 43 cc with either
9.0 or 8.1 CR. This MAY be the first type of 5 types of 1800 cylinder
heads. He goes on to record that this head was produced from
1962-1970 for UK spec cars and is prone to cracking between ports.

The air injection ports are in the head. If this head doesn't have
holes which are plugged than it is a pre air head. I would guess this
to be the situation as 22/3/67 could be the date the head was cast.
Also as UK cars didn't get air injection as soon as USA cars that the
head in question is a pre 1968 head.

Another PO undocumented alteration. That's why anyone ever changing
specs on a car should document the changes and make sure that the next
owner get those documents.
