thanks to everyone who replied,
the car actually started by dumb luck. to move the car forward so that we
could work on it, we started it in gear so that it would jump a little
(clutch slave doesnt work). after doing this, we decided to take it out of
gear and see if it would start. somehow that shook everything so that it now
starts. all it needs now is a new waterpump and clutch slave, and it'll be on
the road.
