Could be. It's also possible that the front is stuck open and all the gas
is going to it. But I doubt it.

Hey, it's new to you, and it was ignored by the previous owner. LBCs require
maintenance. If you want a convertable that you put gas and oil in and drive
without thinking about it or getting your fingers dirty, buy a Miata.

Half the fun is sticking your head under the hood. :-)
