I don't know of a list of sizes for MGBs, but for MGAs, Todd Clarke of
Clarke Spares and Restoration (http://www.clarkespares.com/) sells a
fastener decoder book which, given the part number from the parts list
(which he also sells), it gives you the dimensions, material, and head
style.

I've never tried to decode MGB part numbers, but it's likely they follow the
same scheme. Both MGB and MGA use UNF (which is the same spec as SAE) bolts
through most of the car, so anyone stocking fine thread bolts of the
appropriate hardness and dimension should be able to help. 99% of the bolts
in my MGA restoration came from the local hardware store. Only did I resort
to the specialty suppliers when I needed high grade hardness.

Cheers,
Lew Palmer

Regarding bolts and hardware.... I am looking for "BL part number to size"
information. Can anyone point me in a direction? I hate to pay the mail
order prices and shipping. I like Moss kits for the B, but I also work on
Triumphs. I would like to purchase hardware locally.
