1-5/16 socket, LONG bar, counter clockwise.

Heat isn't a good idea, heat and the harmonic balancer don't mix.

As I recall you have the engine out of the car, separate the tranny from the
engine.  Use something to keep the flywheel stationary when you turn the
crankshaft pulley bolt.
