I had a couple of early A-H Sprites a 1958 and a 1959. Both of which had no
outside access to the spare tire or "Boot" area, which you could access by
reaching into a deep, dark area that was open behind the drivers compartment or
cockpit. The top would unfold completely and you could remove the vinyl top
from
the frame assy. which also came apart. You could shove both of these items
into the above described storage area. Also you could remove (or attach) the
side curtains with 2 pc Plexiglas panels you could slide open or shut depending
on your needs, simply by turning two knurled top turn bolts on each side
curtain (front & back) These two vinyl upholstered side curtains also went into
the
rear storage area along with a padded fabric pouch that contained the jack and
lug bolt wrench and a small asst. of tools ( The tools may have been after
market products ) Everything went in rather easily. Although retrieving the
spare tire could become a hassle unless you were careful when you put
everything
above into this rear storage area.
