Reorientation of the air valve also helps prevent the brakes sticking on.
Chris Betson advises mounting the servo so that it is at or nearly at the
bottom and so is kept lubricated with fluid by removing the air bubble.

Later, just out of curiosity, I started leafing through the instructions
that came with the servo.  They said, quite explicitly, that it should be
mounted with the cylinder pointing up at between 30 and 45 degs, and rotated
so that the air valve was at least 30 degs below horizontal TO AID WITH
BLEEDING...
