Roger,

If it's a good deal, go for it, there's plenty that will be useful.
Pretty much all the mechanical parts are the same, the engine will of
course be useful, the only significant differences are the interior trim
and dash (and the roof of course!).  Bumpers of course are different,
and front wings are different between GT and roadster as well as being
different between chrome and rubber bumper (so if you were tempted to
convert to chrome bumper using parts from this GT you'd need wings from
elsewhere).

Don't let American list members confuse you with tales of different
carburettors and emissions equipment during the '70s - here in the UK it
was twin SUs, and no emissions gubbins, all the way.  Exact details of
the carbs varied, but they are pretty much interchangeable.

The only problem with parts cars is where to store them - if you can't
keep it in a garage, a part-dismantled car, even an MGB, can make your
garden look like it belongs on some sh***y Manchester housing estate (no
offence intended to any Mancunians on the list...)
