For a regularly driven MG, just change the oil & filter. Yes, there will be
a small quantity in the oil cooler (I suspect less than a quart but I
haven't measured it) but with regular oil changes it'll be fine.
If there has been a catastrophic event (blown engine) don't bother trying
to flush out the oil cooler - just install a new one with the new/rebuilt
engine.
If one is resurrecting a long dormant engine you might try using a rubber
tip blow gun to remove as much old oil as possible. Or just plan to do an
early oil change.
