Even without a cooler, there will always be some oil left in the engine in
the various nooks and crannies, adhered to the rough textures, etc., but it
is oil that ultimately will mix and virtually "disappear" in the volume of
new oil coming in. You are putting in all new fresh additives, etc., and
the bit of oil that remains simply is inconsequential.
