Our 2004 frame (car #17) was about 65 lbs with
everything (except paint), and included some pretty
big gussets and 2 lb rear hitch (64" wheelbase). We
use 4130 1.25" x 0.049" wall tubing (mainly for dent
resistance).

This frame only had two bends, the rest were miter
cut, so there's a couple pounds of filler rod in that
65 lbs. This car has been rolled twice pretty hard
(over 30mph) and the front half shows no signs of
bending yet. It'll probably be coming to the MB 100
with a new back half.

If you are keeping your overall vehicle weight in the
~415 lbs or less category you can still be pretty
competitive. Our 2004 car weighed 409 lbs and had
25x8x12 tires and took 10th in acceleration (8th
Overall).

Hope this helps.
