There's a great book, "Visual Quick Start on Photoshop" from Peachpit press that
I can recomend.

If you have a good 600 dpi printer and (this is important) print on the best
quality, smoothest, whitest paper you can get and set the halftone screen at 65
to 85  lines, you can get a pretty good original to photocopy from.
