Hi all...

I'm new to the list and would like to say hello...and also add my two 
cents worth on the drill press discussion.

The best idea I've read so far was to check out auctions and the like 
and pick up a used industrial grade drill press.  However, short of 
that, you might want to check out the Jet line of machines available at Lowes 
and other such stores.  I have one and it works fine for my use.. 
Yes, it is Taiwan made but, IMHO, that isn't *always* a bad thing 
especially if you're on a budget.

Now, having said that, I also have to admit that I don't do any real 
precision work...just drill an occasional hole in the process of 
restoring an old car I picked up last fall.
