I'm not sure I understand...

1 HP = 746 Watts
1 Watt = 1 Amp * 1 V
at 110v, 6.5HP = 44+ Amps

Is there a reason (other than you'd have to have big wires) that you
can't draw 44 amps on 110, and therefore can't make 6.5HP?
