I saw one article review with 220V at 30A...typical Electric Clothes Dryer
spec. 3/4" conduit would take the requisite 8 or 10g wire without any
problems.
FWIW, with bare walls, I'd run conduit from major parts of the house, such
as crawl spaces, attic, storage area, garage, deck/porch, etc. Tho maybe
not for mom, I'd consider another separate conduit for Music, Phone, Video,
Ethernet (i.e. not in same conduit as power). Cheap and easy now....
