Richard
I've used super agitine in my washer for about a year and have been very
pleased with it...cuts grease, smells good (bearable), doesn't take layers
of skin off your hands or leave them raw and no lingering afterburn.. my
wife can hardly tell I've been in the parts washer when I come back in the
house... before with the mineral spirit based product it was "go clean up
before you come in the house !!!"

I've only used simple green on small hand held cleaning jobs... it does a
fair job on dirt and grime but doesn't seem to have the grease cutting
ability of the agitene.. more scrubbing/brushing/scraping are necessary
with the simple green. I use it mainly for cleaning 'dirty stuff' instead
of 'greasy or oily' stuff...

agitene isn't cheap but I've seen no degradation in over a year with some
pretty greasy parts... I think of simple green as a one time use/dispose
type cleaner...never tried to recycle it though...

IMHO YMMV
